Ellen Ward, 82, of Worden, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. Born January 8, 1934 in Marion County, Illinois, she was a daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. James and Rita Green. She married Muriel Ward Jr. on February 5, 1954 and he passed away on October 30, 2011. She was a registered nurse for 20 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Charles, MO. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Worden, IL.

She is survived by 1 Son, Michael Ward of St. Charles, MO; 2 Daughters, Sheri (William) Cesak of Flowery Branch, GA and Carol Vogler of O’Fallon, MO; 4 Grandchildren, Mark (Elena) Jordon, Ashley Vogler, Elaine Vogler, and Bret Cesak; 7 Great Grandchildren, Lydia, Abigail, Trevor, Jayel, Jaidin, Quinten, and Elliot; 3 Brothers, Jim Green, Ken Green, and Tom Green. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother, Willard; 1 Sister, Lucy; and 1 Grandson, Kenny Vogler.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Rev. John Heater officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
