Diann Marie Washburn, 63 of Bunker Hill, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born June 22, 1953 in Highland, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Edgar Kapp. She married Garry Washburn on March 30, 1974 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Highland, Illinois and he survives.She worked at Mercantile Bank in St. Louis, MO from 1971 - 1981. She later worked as a Real Estate Agent/Investor for Landmark Reality in Edwardsville, IL. Currently, she was managing DMW Rentals in Gillespie, IL. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Staunton. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling.

She is survived by 1 daughter, Heather Washburn of Staunton, IL; 1 son, Tyler (wife Danielle) Washburn of Staunton, IL; 3 grandchildren, Weston & Asher Washburn and Kaitlyn Zigler; 2 brothers, Al (wife Pat) Kapp of Marine, IL and Tom (wife Deb) Kapp of Edwardsville, IL; 1 sister, Margaret (husband Eugene) Feldmann of Worden, IL. Special friend, Wogene Amsalu and close companion, Garry Washburn of Staunton, IL. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 Pm on Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton with Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston, IL. Memorials are suggested to either St. Jude’s Children Hospital or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
