Adele Carol Best, 78 of Worden, Illinois passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at her residence near Worden, Illinois. Born June 24, 1938 in Worden, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ralph E. Wohlert. She married Allen Wray Best on January 28, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, Illinois. He passed away on September 10, 2015. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at Madison County Shelter Care in Edwardsville, Illinois for 15 years. She was a member of the Staunton VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dennis W. (Rebecca) Best of Staunton, IL and Vern A. Best (companion Lisa Force) of Worden, IL; 8 grandchildren, Georgia, Karen, Angela, Benjamin, Charles, Dalton, Kelly, and Owen; 11 great grandchildren, Makayla, Joseph, Daniel, Chuck, Allen, Eli, Catania, Sophia, Olivea, Ellie, and Stacy.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden, Illinois. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Worden with interment at Worden City Cemetery in Worden, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice.
